Transformers - War for Cybertron is a third-person, action game. It puts you in command of both the Autobots and the Decepticons as they fight each other for different reasons. The Decepticons want to use Energon to build an unstoppable army, while the Autobots want to prevent that to happen and save their shared world. This new story-line gives a lot of insight into the history between the Autobots and the evil Decepticons and it shows how many of the characters meet for the first time.
The game isn't all that different than the previous games, except perhaps for the setting (Cybertron). You can play the campaign from the perspective of the Autobots or the Decepticons and there are quite a few missions to complete. In each mission, you play with 2 friends or computer A.I.s. You can choose which transformer to operate during the missions but, sadly, they all feel the same, with the exception of those that can fly.
Graphics are very neat. I love the way the transformations were added to gameplay. They feel more natural than in the past and it is very fun to see how your transformers transform into many vehicles. Shooting and fighting is natural and is very easy. Another thing that I enjoyed was flying around and fighting enemies that were 10 times your size.
Although this game isn't going to be a best-seller, it is still a good experience for both fans of the franchise and gamers in general.
